Audiovisual apps developed for Astrovisuals

Using our framework for content-based app development, a series of five iPad apps was created, each containing stunning high-resolution astronomical photography, informative videos and other information. Features include full-screen video with co-ordinated subtitles and integrated photo viewer with captions, thumbnails and slideshows.

AGNSW Contemporary Gallery developed for The Nest

This app is installed in-house on a number of iPads at the Art Gallery of NSW as an engaging hands-on resource for visitors to learn more about the artworks in the new Contemporary Gallery, view high-resolution artwork, related archive items and videos, and listen to related audio clips, while learning more about the art gallery.

HOME Party with Hayden Wood developed for Drink Australia

This iPhone/iPad app brings together a wealth of information from renowned flair bartender, Hayden Wood. Content includes recipes for cocktails and party food, information on wines and beers and videos showing tips and techniques. Includes search, party planning and shopping list functions.

A free school holiday event calendar for a wide range of government school holiday activities across New South Wales. Search for activities by day, location, age range and/or facilities and find out about the many events.

Artwhatson developed for The Nest

Browse hundreds of exhibitions and art galleries across Australia. The application uses location services so that you can find out what's happening in your area right now.

Moon Phase Photo Maps developed for Astrovisuals

Provides high definition photos taken across the different phases of the moon, with labels for craters and other features that can be turned on and off, a search feature, and calculation for when the phase is next visible. Features on the moon are best viewed and photographed when lit a low angle, so this app allows amateur astronomers to plan their lunar observations.

Star Charts by Wil Tirion developed for Astrovisuals

Beautiful, highly detailed star charts, showing stars down to ninth magnitude and many other objects. Turn on labels, constellation lines and boundaries and grid lines to suit your viewing needs. Charts can be shown in white on black or black on white to suit your viewing conditions. A valuable resource for amateur astronomers.

Echoism developed for False Behaving Animals

Echoism.org is a light-hearted art project by artist Julian Wolkenstein. Take your photo on the free iPhone app (or webcam) and have the two halves of your face recombined into separate symmetrical identities based on the left and right sides of your face. Contribute your photos to the project and visit echoism.org to see what others have uploaded.

The Art Gallery of NSW: The First Emperor developed for The Nest

Free companion app for The First Emperor exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. If you're in Sydney, or planning to visit, before 13 March 2011, then check out the exhibition of China's famed terracotta warriors. The app provides photos and background information, plus useful traveller information for visiting the exhibition.
